Contains Art is an arts venue based in the small harbour town of Watchet in West Somerset. It is built from three refurbished shipping containers that were transformed into a gallery and four studios by a group of dedicated volunteers in the early summer of 2013.
Contains Art has a dual role—to meet the needs of the community and to pursue artistic ambition. West Somerset has the lowest social mobility in the UK. Art has a vital role in changing that. To do this, Contains Art delivers a diverse and exciting programme of exhibitions and events that bring extraordinary practice to a small isolated part of the country.
The brand identity is comprised using simple typography incorporating "Art" within "Contains", to reflect the project and the directors ambitious plan for the gallery and artist workspace within 3 shipping containers.
In addition to this mark, Best Before End created the marketing material; brochures, yearly programme guide, posters, flyers, ambitious publishing titles, interactive Virtual Reality Worlds, and its website.
